Three Indian innovators join campus through our Soft Landing Programme

We have further cemented our reputation as a gateway for global innovation with the arrival of three dynamic, growing  Indian digital companies – TIBS Global, VenPep Solutions, and Everleaves Systems – through our acclaimed Soft Landing Programme.

These companies represent cutting-edge advancements across industrial IoT, automation, software and app development, AI and embedded engineering, and their arrival on campus signals the growing importance of the Liverpool City Region as a hub for emerging technologies. Their decision to establish a UK presence at Sci-Tech Daresbury is a testament to the campus’s unique combination of world-class infrastructure, supportive business ecosystem, and direct access to leading research institutions and academic partners.

These investments follow a successful two-year collaboration between Invest Liverpool City Region and the Department for Business and Trade India. This partnership has showcased the Liverpool City Region to over 100 of India’s most dynamic tech firms through two major delegations and several regional visits. Over the past two years, Invest Liverpool City Region has highlighted the region’s key locations where tech companies cluster, collaborate, and grow alongside like-minded industry leaders.

VenPep, a Tamil Nadu based fast-growing intelligent automation company, specialises in practical AI and automation solutions for industries such as manufacturing, safety, and community management, VenPep is expanding its presence from India to the UK with a clear vision: to co-create scalable, real-world solutions that matter.

The company’s platforms – such as MySafety, a gamified safety compliance tool; Jumbow, a growth platform for membership-based organisations; and Todook, a multichannel AI chatbot – are already delivering measurable outcomes for clients across Asia. The move to Sci-Tech Daresbury provides VenPep with the opportunity to collaborate with research institutions, regional partners, and forward-looking UK businesses to further develop and localise these technologies.

In the short term, VenPep aims to strengthen its UK engineering and product teams, focusing on enhanced AI adoption. Looking ahead, the company plans to double its UK footprint by 2026, establish delivery capabilities for local clients, and pilot new AI-driven solutions in areas like agentic AI and community engagement.

Everleaves Systems is a pioneering developer of embedded systems and advanced engineering solutions. Headquartered in Chennai, the company brings over 15 years of expertise in electronics design, system integration, and high-performance computing across industries including aerospace, defence, automotive, and industrial automation.

Everleaves’ portfolio spans custom hardware platforms, real-time systems, and intelligent sensor capabilities that align closely with the needs of the North West’s advanced manufacturing and digital engineering sectors. As part of its UK growth plan, the company aims to build a local engineering team, initiate joint development projects with UK-based clients, and contribute to the region’s innovation ecosystem.

The move to Sci-Tech Daresbury marks a strategic step in Everleaves’ ambition to expand into the European market, deepen R&D partnerships, and co-develop next-generation embedded technologies in collaboration with UK institutions and innovation clusters.

The third new arrival is TIBS Global, which specialises in Industrial IoT with a focus on automation and predictive maintenance in manufacturing. Based in Kerala, IBS Global offers retrofitting solutions that convert traditional machines into smart, connected assets by integrating sensors and actuator control with minimal disruption.

TIBS is already engaging with local organisations such as AMRC North West, and is actively collaborating with and now seeking to engage with forward-thinking manufacturers in the UK who are ready to embrace smart factory solutions.

One of the reasons the company chose to locate on campus is its combination of excellent transport links with a highly connected innovation ecosystem. TIBS has also highlighted the support from the on-site team, who are deeply embedded in the UK tech community and regularly facilitate meaningful introductions and collaborative opportunities for campus companies.

Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, said: “Attracting global innovators to our region is key to achieving my ambition of increasing Foreign Direct Investment by 25% by the end of the decade.

“The arrival of three new companies at Sci-Tech Daresbury is a clear signal of the Liverpool City Region’s growing reputation on the world stage as a home for cutting-edge technologies and international collaboration. By offering a unique blend of world-class facilities, academic excellence and an innovation-friendly ecosystem, we are laying the foundations for a stronger, more connected, and globally competitive regional economy.”

John Leake, our Business Growth Director, said: “We are thrilled to welcome these ambitious Indian digital companies to Sci-Tech Daresbury. Our Soft Landing Programme is designed to accelerate global innovators into the UK and European markets, and these businesses reflect the bold, visionary entrepreneurship we are proud to support.

“The arrival of these companies also aligns with the UK’s ambition to deepen economic collaboration with India, particularly in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. That a trio of such exciting companies have chosen Sci-Tech Daresbury and the Liverpool City Region as their home reflects the inspiring opportunities that can be facilitated on our campus.”

The Soft Landing Programme offers tailored business support, access to networks, and a flexible presence on campus, helping international businesses explore opportunities for R&D, partnerships, and scaling in the UK. This initiative is part of Sci-Tech Daresbury’s commitment to fostering global partnerships that drive innovation and economic growth.
