Role Overview

Quantum Science (QS) have an exciting new opportunity for an ambitious Operations Assistant who will take a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of the company and who is looking for progression within an exciting growing business.

This role is for someone who has a positive problem-solving attitude to work and who has a methodical and acute attention to detail even in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have strong organisational skills and enjoy working closely with our brilliant team.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • General office management duties including phone and email enquiries
  • Administrative support across teams.
  • Accounts support with invoices, expense claims and purchase orders.
  • Organising meetings and training events (including catering)
  • Support with booking travel and accommodation for the team

Support with logistic operations -training will be provided where necessary

  • Packing and transportation of goods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communication with freight forwarders, couriers, and other logistics providers.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and IATA dangerous goods regulations.
  • Attend training courses in relation to the handling, packaging, and transportation of dangerous goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and delivery costs

Skills and Experience

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems (essential)
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience (essential)
  • Experience in logistics (desired)

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work effectively
  • Excellent work ethic including handling confidential information

System Capabilities:
All aspects of Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
