Beats, Boards and Bumps – the exciting new businesses joining Sci-Tech Daresbury’s Future Club programme

Five exciting new start-ups have been confirmed for the latest (sixth) cohort of our exclusive business growth programme, Future Club. Beat Modules, Board North, Bump, ROFSIX and UAP, have each been handpicked from a high calibre group of applicants.
Launched in 2021, Future Club is a platform for early-stage science and technology businesses to accelerate their growth by gaining access to Sci-Tech Daresbury’s innovative technical expertise, business support, networking and funding opportunities with the site’s dynamic community of more than 160 high-tech companies.
Each year, five pioneering companies are handpicked for the programme. The businesses selected demonstrate potential to deliver exceptional and transformative solutions across areas including healthcare, AI, software design, advanced engineering, and more.
The Future Club 2026 cohort comprises:

John Leake, business growth director at Sci-Tech Daresbury, said: “We’re marking five years of Future Club this year and with our fantastic sixth cohort joining the programme, this is a moment to reflect on everything that has been achieved. To date, just over £5m of additional funding has been raised for Future Club companies, and this figure is set to grow with more funding expected in 2026 for several participating businesses. We’ve had some great successes with companies like Ocuwell, a specialist in cutting-edge eyecare technology, and Wellbeing Doctors, lifestyle medicine experts, who have recently joined the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s (STFC) Health Business Incubation Centre (BIC) programme.
“Many others including spinouts from the universities of Liverpool and Manchester such as AI Sight (developing technology for diabetes screening) and Spotlight Pathology (using AI to help in the diagnosis of blood cancers) have reported exceptional progress, new investments, and several successes since joining the programme. We’re excited to welcome this year’s cohort and look forward to supporting their journey as Future Club continues to support innovative businesses and entrepreneurs to scale and thrive.”
The new Future Club members will gain access to Sci-Tech Daresbury’s vibrant campus community and facilities, as well as one-to-one support from the Sci-Tech Daresbury team with direct guidance from experienced mentors and entrepreneurs. They will also have opportunities to collaborate with Sci-Tech Daresbury’s campus partners and Gold Partners, including leading organisations in IP, finance, and research.
